The FarmWeigh™ In-Field Check Weigher comes complete with a two year warranty and a 30 day money back guarantee and is supported by a 24 hour 7 day a week support hotline
How does it work?
The FarmWeigh™ In-Field Check Weigher is an impact weighing system that diverts the grain over a weigh plate. Because it is actually weighing the grain it needs no re calibration when changing crops. The unit comes complete with a digital indicator to show the weight of the load, as it is occurring allowing the user to stop the load when required to ensure it complies with the legal loading legislation.
The unit is powered by a 12-volt power supply, normally located on the auger or in the case of a bin the tractor driving the discharge auger.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does the FarmWeigh ™ weigh the grain?
The FarmWeigh™ Grain Checkweigher is an impact weigher that weighs the grain as it hits the weigh plate that is mounted onto a digital loadcell. The software in the indicator reads the weight and force information and using a sophisticated formula converts that information into a weight that is displayed on the indicator.
Do I need to recalibrate the scale when I change grains?
No you don't; because the Checkweigher actually weighs the product there is no need for ongoing re calibration. Just as you do not need to recalibrate a kitchen scale when changing from sugar to salt, you do not need to recalibrate the FarmWeigh™ when changing grains.
What machinery can I use the Farm Weigh ™ on?
The FarmWeigh™ Checkweigher is designed for grain or product being discharged from an auger. So, any machinery that uses an auger to out load is suitable. Generally, machinery used includes transportable augers, mother bins, chaser bins, field bins, headers and grain bag out loaders.
Can I move the FarmWeigh™ from auger to auger?
The FarmWeigh™ is designed for a specific auger diameter, handing (right or left handed auger flights) and auger angle and therefore cannot normally be moved from unit to unit. If, for example, you wish to use the system on a mother bin or header during harvest and a transportable auger at other times you are able to purchase an additional hood, and move the indicator from unit to unit. (Each unit will require a different calibration)
If it is made for a specific auger angle, how do I use it on a transportable auger?
The FarmWeigh™ is a Checkweigher for loading into trucks so therefore we measure the angle of your auger when you are loading trucks. The weigh hood is then made for this angle and you will receive a magnetic angle metre with your unit. When you go to load the truck, wind the auger to the specified angle (for example, 20 degrees for a 46' long auger) and load.
Does the system have a printer?
A printer is an option, however, we strongly recommend against it. Whenever there is a printer, there is a hole where the paper comes out, and this is a hole where moisture and dust gets in, jams paper and ribbons and can cause problems during harvest. We believe a pad and pencil is just as easy and has no ongoing difficulties with paper jams and electrical problems.
