Superb technology
SuPerfect® fertiliser was developed to combine the proven agronomic advantages of super phosphate with a high quality granule that's better to handle, blend and spread.
Low dust
'Perfect super' was first developed by Incitec Pivot Limited in the late 1990s (then known as Pivot Limited). Since then, it's been known for its hard, evenly sized granules with a firm coating and lower moisture content. Its high quality means granules are less likely to break down during freight and handling, substantially reducing the amount of dust in the fertiliser.
Even spreading
Its quality is also the key to its top spreading capabilities. SuPerfect has been proven to spread evenly over wide distances for efficient and effective application. Enough fertiliser granules are spread per square metre for excellent spatial distribution and availability of nutrients to pastures when applied at standard rates.
Many blending options
The regular size of granules and low moisture content in SuPerfect fertiliser also make it ideal for fertiliser blends, allowing farmers to apply nitrogen, potassium and trace elements with pasture fertilisers. Fertiliser blends once not possible because of chemical and physical incompatibilities are now being used regularly by many farmers to apply a range of nutrients in one convenient application. For example, SuPerfect and urea blends are proving ideal on dairy properties, although it is recommended they be blended and s I read immediate! .
Superior performance
With slightly more sulphur than phosphorus, the balance of key nutrients in SuPerfect is ideal to meet the needs of pastures.
Immediately available sulphur
Importantly, the nutrients in SuPerfect are supplied in forms readily available to plants, as water soluble phosphorus and sulphate sulphur. This means that when SuPerfect is applied prior to the autumn break, pastures have access to both nutrients as soon as they start growing, promoting excellent root growth and early seedling vigour. Trial work and farmer experiences have demonstrated SuPerfect's ability to produce a good feed wedge. Fertilisers containing elemental sulphur are not able to match this performance, because elemental sulphur has to be converted to sulphate sulphur through oxidisation by soil bacteria before plants can utilise it. This process is favoured by warm moist soil conditions. It also causes additional soil acidification.
SuPerfect contains more calcium than any other fertiliser. Adequate calcium is essential to maintaining a healthy soil structure and promoting healthy plant growth. Conducting regular soil and plant tissue testing will help ensure fertiliser programs match pasture needs. Applying SuPerfect with other nutrients such as muriate of potash or trace elements, may enhance pasture production.

Trials conducted by Incitec Pivot Limited have proven the superior effectiveness of SuPerfect across many regions, soil types and seasonal conditions, compared with high analysis pasture fertilisers.
