- High yielding white clover for medium leaf size under
sheep and dairy grazing
- Medium leaved cultivar with high stolon density
- Bred for greater autumn activity and larger leaf size
than Grasslands Demand
New medium leaf white clover for inclusion in pastue mixes
for grazing by all livestock types
Grasslands BOUNTY is a medium leaved, very high yielding
clover, with high stolon density.
BOUNTY has been bred for greater autumn activity and larger
leaf size than Grasslands Demand.
It has also been assessed in trials at Ballarat to be superior to
Challenge and will now be the recommended replacement for
Challenge.
Due to high stolon density, BOUNTY has excellent persistence.

What the experts say...
Reg Hill, Research Manager, Wrightson Seeds Australia,
Ballarat VIC
Bounty is a medium leafed, very dense white clover which has
performed extremely well at Ballarat - a worthy successor to
Challenge. In the first year of our trial a few larger leafed
varieties had the edge over it but in year 2 Bounty out-yielded all
of the 17 other varieties in the trial. After 4 years it remains the
densest variety in the trial. The dense stolons contribute to its
excellent persistence and visual appeal and it is frequently picked
out by field day attendees as the best looking variety in the trial.
MANAGEMENT TIPS
- Bounty should be used in dairy pasture mixes, sown at 2kg/ha
with 3kg/ha Kopu II.
- In dryland sheep or beef pasture mixes, it should be sown at
1kg/ha with 1kg/ha Tahora white clover and Leura sub clover.
- Bounty will provide best results under rotational grazing systems.
However, Bounty can perform well under set stocked and
oversowing situations.
- For best establishment Bounty should be lightly grazed frequently
during the establishment phase.
