- high yielding across a variety of soil types
and harvest regimes
- outstanding pest and disease resistance
- great visual appeal - dark green, leafy
and fine stemmed
- extremely rapid recovery after grazing
- highly winter active (9)
high yielding, high quality hay
WL 925HQ is set to replace WL 525HQ in Australia. It has
increased winter activity (9.2) with the ability to produce an
extra cut in warm climate areas of Northern Australia and
produce higher yields with increased persistence in other
regions.
It has outstanding resistance to pests and diseases and
rapid regrowth after cutting or grazing.
It should be sown by those who have grown
WL 525HQ(8) and others who have used more active types
and are looking for high yields but better quality for hay or
grazing.
All who have seen this variety in trials are impressed with it.

What the producers say...
Barry Nexhip, dairy producer & forage contractor, Tongala VIC
“We sowed WL925HQ at 25kg/ha in September 2005 and we are going
to cut it for a third time now, averageing 2.5t/ha per cut. All the dairy job
wants is leaf and WL925HQ is a lot of leafier compared to other
varieties.”
Darren Keath, dairy producer, Lockington VIC
“I sowed WL925HQ at 25kg/ha with 300kg/ha of single super under it
in September 2005 and had a really good strike. The WL 925HQ is a
leafier Lucerne compared to the WL525HQ. The cows really enjoy
grazing it and are doing over 30 litres.”
